Tytianna Bowers
MHC-LP
I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, and emotional stress and are seeking therapy that feels holistic, supportive, and empowering. As an African American psychotherapist, I understand how cultural identity and lived experience shape mental health, and I'm passionate about helping clients explore these connections in a space that feels affirming and grounded.
My work is rooted in holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care. I strive to support clients in developing insight, emotional balance, and resilience while honoring their individual experiences, strengths, and values.
Who I Support
I support:
Adults navigating anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
Adults processing trauma and difficult past experiences
Adults exploring identity-related concerns and self-discovery
Adults experiencing life transitions and seeking personal growth
My Approach
My approach is holistic and client-centered, addressing emotional, mental, and physical well-being. I draw from an integrative framework that includes:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns
Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients better understand and nurture the different parts of themselves
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to build present-moment awareness and reduce stress
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support healing from traumatic experiences and strengthen coping skills
This approach allows therapy to be tailored to your unique needs, supporting awareness, healing, and long-term resilience. My goal is to help you uncover the roots of distress, build emotional strength, and move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Education & Professional Status
I hold a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Mental Health Counseling and a Master of Science in Education (MSEd), School Counseling from Alfred University
I practice under clinical supervision in accordance with New York State regulations. Ongoing supervision supports ethical, high-quality care and helps ensure you receive thoughtful, client-centered treatment while your privacy remains protected.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of sessions, I enjoy connecting with loved ones, engaging with art and creativity, and exploring museums and community events. I value moments of reflection and curiosity and enjoy experiences that support balance, perspective, and personal renewal.
