Trauma can surface long after the event has passed — in your relationships, your sense of safety, and how you feel in your body. You might notice yourself feeling stuck, disconnected, emotionally numb, or constantly in survival mode. These responses aren’t flaws; they’re signs your nervous system has been working overtime to protect you. At Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, we provide trauma-informed care that centers your safety, agency, and readiness. Our approach is gentle and empowering, integrating somatic awareness, mindfulness, and evidence-based tools such as CBT and elements of EMDR. Together, we’ll help you process experiences without becoming overwhelmed, rebuild trust with yourself, and restore a sense of balance and control. We also hold space for LGBTQ+ individuals who may be processing trauma related to identity, family rejection, or social stigma. You don’t have to relive everything to begin healing. Therapy offers a space where your story is honored, your pace is respected, and your path forward is supported. Sessions are offered virtually across New York and New Jersey. You can expect to hear from our office within 1–2 business days.

You will be asked to provide your photo ID, insurance card (photos are accepted), general availability, and brief information about what brings you in.

 

What happens next: 

Our intake team will review your submission, verify insurance information if applicable, and help coordinate the next steps, including scheduling and intake paperwork.

 

All submissions are securely processed through our HIPAA-compliant software.
