Healing at Your Pace. Safety at Every Step.

Service Description

Trauma can affect how you feel, think, and connect with others long after a distressing experience. You may struggle with intrusive memories, anxiety, emotional numbness, difficulty trusting others, or feeling constantly on edge. Whether you're navigating childhood trauma, relationship trauma, complex trauma, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), you deserve support that respects your pace. At Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, we provide personalized trauma therapy and PTSD counseling for teens and adults in New York and New Jersey. Our relationship-centered approach begins with building trust and creating a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and safe enough to explore your experiences. Our clinicians use holistic, trauma-informed psychotherapy tailored to your needs and goals. Treatment may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, grounding techniques, somatic awareness, and emotional regulation skills. Together, we can work toward understanding trauma responses, strengthening coping strategies, and rebuilding your sense of safety and connection. Trauma therapy does not require you to recount painful experiences before you're ready. We collaborate with you, respect your boundaries, and approach difficult memories only when clinically appropriate. Founded by a woman of color, Love Light is a psychotherapy practice with a racially and culturally diverse team of clinicians and administrative professionals. We welcome clients of all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals and people from historically marginalized communities. Our culturally responsive care recognizes how identity, relationships, and lived experiences can shape trauma and recovery. Trauma and PTSD therapy is available virtually throughout New York, with services also offered in New Jersey through select clinicians. Ready to take the next step? Request an appointment or schedule a discovery call to begin the process of connecting with a therapist who understands your needs. Complimentary consultations are available following an appointment request and initial discovery call.
