Stress & Emotional Regulation Therapy
Find Your Balance. Respond With Confidence.
Service Description
Stress can affect your mood, relationships, concentration, and ability to manage everyday responsibilities. You may feel overwhelmed by competing demands, become easily frustrated, struggle to express your emotions, or find it difficult to recover after upsetting experiences. When stress builds over time, even small challenges can feel exhausting. At Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, we provide personalized therapy for stress and emotional regulation for teens and adults throughout New York, with services also available in New Jersey through select clinicians. Our clinicians help clients navigate chronic stress, emotional overwhelm, irritability, difficulty setting boundaries, and challenges managing strong emotions. Our relationship-centered approach focuses on understanding what contributes to your stress rather than simply telling you to calm down. We work collaboratively to identify patterns, explore the effects of relationships and life experiences, and build practical strategies that fit your needs. Treatment may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, grounding exercises, emotion regulation skills, and stress management techniques. We also consider how trauma, cultural expectations, identity-related pressures, and major life changes can affect emotional responses. The goal is not to eliminate difficult emotions, but to understand them and respond in ways that support your well-being. Founded by a woman of color, Love Light has a racially and culturally diverse clinical and administrative team. We welcome clients of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, and offer inclusive, culturally responsive care. Stress and emotional regulation therapy is available virtually throughout New York, with services also offered in New Jersey through select clinicians. Ready to take the next step?
