Service Description

Life changes can bring uncertainty, even when they are expected or welcome. A career shift, relocation, separation, becoming a parent, changes in family roles, or a new stage of adulthood may leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or unsure of what comes next. You don't have to navigate these transitions alone. At Love Light Mental Health Counseling Services, PLLC, we provide life transitions therapy for teens and adults throughout New York, with services also available in New Jersey through select clinicians. Our therapists support clients adjusting to changes in relationships, work, identity, family responsibilities, and personal goals, including transitions that involve grief, loss, or difficult decisions. Our relationship-centered approach begins with listening and building trust. Together, we explore how a transition is affecting your emotions, sense of self, relationships, and daily life. Therapy offers space to process mixed feelings, recognize patterns, strengthen boundaries, and make decisions that align with your values. Depending on your needs, our clinicians may draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, coping strategies, and holistic, trauma-informed approaches to help you manage uncertainty and develop resilience. We don't assume every change needs to be fixed or rushed; we work at a pace that respects your experiences and goals. Founded by a woman of color, Love Light has a racially and culturally diverse clinical and administrative team. We welcome clients of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ+ individuals, and recognize how culture, identity, and family expectations can shape major life changes. Life transitions therapy is available virtually throughout New York, with services also offered in New Jersey through select clinicians. Ready to take the next step? Request an appointment or schedule a discovery call to begin the process of connecting with a therapist who understands your needs. Complimentary consultations are available following an appointment request and initial discovery call.
