Tytianna Bowers
LMHC
I work with adults, particularly women, who are navigating anxiety, overthinking, chronic stress, self-doubt, and the pressure of constantly putting others' needs before their own. If you struggle with people-pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling confident in yourself, or managing overwhelming emotions, therapy can provide space to understand what's happening beneath the surface and begin creating meaningful change.
As an African American psychotherapist, I provide culturally responsive therapy that recognizes how identity, relationships, lived experiences, and the expectations we carry can affect emotional well-being. My work is warm, collaborative, and holistic, with a focus on helping you better understand yourself, recognize patterns, strengthen your confidence, and develop a healthier relationship with yourself and others.
Who I Support
I support:
Women experiencing anxiety, overthinking, chronic stress, and emotional overwhelm
Adults struggling with self-doubt, low self-esteem, or confidence
Clients working through people-pleasing and difficulty setting or maintaining healthy boundaries
Adults navigating relationship or family stress
Adults processing trauma and difficult past experiences
Clients experiencing life transitions or periods of uncertainty and change
Adults seeking deeper self-understanding, healthier patterns, and personal growth
I especially enjoy working with women who are motivated to understand themselves beyond the surface. Therapy can help you recognize the patterns contributing to anxiety, self-doubt, relationship difficulties, or people-pleasing while developing greater confidence and healthier boundaries.
My Approach
My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, holistic, and tailored to your individual needs. Rather than focusing only on what's happening in the moment, we'll also explore the thoughts, experiences, relationships, and patterns that may be contributing to how you feel.
I draw from:
Person-Centered Therapy to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment for self-exploration and growth
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift thought and behavioral patterns that may contribute to anxiety, self-doubt, and emotional distress
Strengths-Based Therapy to help you recognize and build upon your existing strengths
Supportive Therapy to provide reflection, encouragement, and practical support as you navigate challenges
Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you better understand and develop compassion for different parts of yourself
Mindfulness-based practices to strengthen emotional awareness, manage stress, and support emotional regulation
Trauma-informed care to create a sense of safety while processing difficult experiences and building resilience
Together, we'll work toward understanding the patterns beneath what you're experiencing and developing practical ways to manage anxiety and stress, strengthen your boundaries, build confidence, and feel more grounded in yourself and your relationships.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of sessions, I enjoy connecting with loved ones, engaging with art and creativity, and exploring museums and community events. I value moments of reflection and curiosity and enjoy experiences that support balance, perspective, and personal renewal.
