Nadisha Roberts
MHC-LP
I work with individuals ages 17 and older who are navigating anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and the impact of difficult past relationships. I understand how our relationships and personal experiences can shape the way we see ourselves, communicate our needs, and connect with others.
I support individuals who want to better understand the patterns showing up in their emotions and relationships while developing greater self-awareness and confidence. My goal is to help you strengthen emotional awareness, communicate more effectively, develop healthier relationship patterns, and feel more comfortable expressing your needs and being your authentic self.
Who I Support
I support:
Individuals ages 17 and older navigating anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm
Individuals experiencing relationship difficulties or recurring relational patterns
Those working through the impact of past relational trauma
Individuals struggling with communication or expressing their needs
Those seeking stronger emotional regulation and emotional awareness
Individuals navigating self-esteem and confidence concerns
Clients seeking healthier, more secure, and fulfilling relationships
I especially enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety and relationship difficulties who want to understand why certain patterns keep showing up in their lives. Our work can help you build emotional awareness, strengthen communication, develop healthier ways of relating to others, and feel more confident living authentically.
My Approach
My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in understanding you as a whole person. I strive to create a supportive environment where you can explore your emotions, relationships, and experiences without judgment while developing greater insight and practical skills for everyday life.
I draw from:
Person-Centered Therapy to create an affirming environment where you feel heard, respected, and supported in exploring your experiences
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to identify and shift thought and behavioral patterns that may contribute to anxiety and emotional distress
Mindfulness-based interventions to strengthen emotional awareness, manage stress, and support emotional regulation
Trauma-informed approaches to explore difficult experiences with attention to emotional safety, choice, and individual needs
Together, we'll explore how your experiences may be influencing the way you think, feel, communicate, and connect with others today. Our work focuses on helping you understand relational patterns, strengthen self-awareness, express your needs more confidently, and create healthier relationships with yourself and others.
Education & Professional Status
I earned my Master of Arts in Mental Health and Wellness Counseling from New York University and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the City University of New York.
I practice under clinical supervision in accordance with New York State regulations. Ongoing supervision supports ethical, high-quality care and helps ensure you receive thoughtful, client-centered treatment while your privacy remains protected.
Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of sessions, I enjoy cooking and watching a good movie. I value having time to unwind and believe that everyday moments like these can support emotional balance and overall well-being.
